Come learn and play with other newer players! The DC Beginner/Intermediate Go Club is hosted by Laurie Ensworth, and starts at 5 PM. It's a perfect time to come to the NGC to get an introduction to the game, or to play against others who are still working on game fundamentals.
Players of all skill levels will be at the Go Center on Wednesday nights (starting at 7 PM), but there will still be space and attention devoted to beginners through 9 PM.
If you can come only one night during the week to the National Go Center, come on Wednesday night.
Whether you're a new player who wants to learn, a dan player interested in sharp competition, or just someone who wants to know what go's all about, Wednesday nights offer plenty of good company and opportunity.

This year, the National Go Center is hosting the U.S. Go Congress, the biggest event in American Go. Featuring the U.S. Open, a six-day, six-round tournament with generous time settings (90 minutes per side), there's no better way to make friends, learn about go, and get stronger.
It will take place this year on the campus of William and Mary, in Williamsburg, VA, directly next to Colonial Williamsburg.
